The Hamon Group has been deploying and managing capital in the private markets through private equity funds, direct and co- investments since 1992. Hamon launched its first private equity fund in 1993 focused on China, with capital raised from institutional investors and family groups. The Great Dragon Private Equity Fund was followed by two Indonesian-focused private equity funds raised in partnership with a prominent Indonesian group in 1995. Despite the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis, Hamon and its partners were able to return the initial capital invested plus a small return to its investors.
We adopt a value creation approach centered around active ownership and transformation in our private markets investment strategies. The Group continues to make direct investments, and offers clients co-investment opportunities alongside its own capital and through non-blind pool investment vehicles. Our pipeline comprises proprietarily sourced opportunities from our extensive network of strategic partners and business founders across various sectors in Asia, Europe and the US.
